Sweet Papaya is born to the marketing and promotion of a single papaya in its variety, unique and different for two main aspects: GOURMET and healthy.
Sweet Papaya is cultivated in Tejina, in the municipality of San Cristobal de La Laguna, sustainable and environmentally friendly, without application of plant protection products and taking advantage of the climatic conditions of the area.
The variety “Sweet Mary” is the result of over 10 years of research that have given it a unique and exceptional qualities. Its approximate size is 800-1500 gr. approx. with a green skin with lemon or orange tones, depending on their state of maturation and orange colors in different shades inside. superior natural sweetness with a Brix (fructose) between 12th and 14th, above average.
Its tasting differs from the rest by a fleshy, soluble but firm texture, with a soft scent of white flowers, and a slight taste in the mouth of coconut and citrus touch, ideal for use in dishes of national and international cuisine.
The Sweet Papaya has the added quality of not requiring flavor enhancers, such as sugar, among others for the preparation of dishes which make it a healthier and beneficial fruit for food.
